Single Resolution Board Letter to Eurozone Banks on COVID-19 Relief Measures
04/01/2020The EU Single Resolution Board has written to Eurozone banks about potential COVID-19 relief measures. It is united with the European Supervisory Authorities and national regulators in aiming to alleviate operational burdens on banks to enable them to deal with the COVID-19 crisis. The SRB intends to apply a pragmatic and flexible approach to 2020 resolution plans and MREL decisions and will consider postponing less urgent information requests where necessary. It does, however, confirm that Eurozone banks still need to submit the following reports: Liability Data Report, Additional Liability Report and MREL quarterly template.
