Department for Business Innovation & Skills Issues Guidance on Whistleblowing
03/20/2015The Department for Business Innovation & Skills published guidance for employers and prescribed persons regarding whistleblowing. The documents lay out various policies and procedures for employers regarding whistleblowing. A prescribed person is an organization or individual that a worker may approach outside their workplace to report suspected or known wrongdoing. The Prescribed Persons Order 2014 sets out a list of over 60 such organizations and individuals that have been designated as prescribed persons because they have an authoritative or oversight relationship with the sector, often as a regulatory body.
